2″ MetaClamp® / Metaglas® Tri‑Clamp Sight Glass

When reliability and visibility matter, Metaglas® stands apart from conventional borosilicate or plastic windows. Its patented design fuses prestressed borosilicate glass to a metal ring, delivering the clarity of glass with the strength of steel. This engineering allows it to meet USP Type 1 standards for pharmaceutical use and carry approvals from USP Class VI, BPE, TÜV and EN bodies.

Key advantages:

• Extreme temperature and pressure resilience: Engineered for punishing conditions, the 2″ MetaClamp is built to handle sustained operation at 450 °F and working pressures up to 230 psi. Its fused glass‑to‑metal construction means there’s no gasket to blow out or crevice to fail under sudden thermal shock or pressure spikes. Independent testing has demonstrated that this design can endure pressures as high as 1,245 psi at both 280 °F and –40 °F, so you can trust it to maintain integrity even when process conditions swing rapidly.

• Sanitary, one‑piece design: This compact assembly fits standard sanitary Tri‑Clamp ferrules. Its seamless construction eliminates crevices where product or bacteria can accumulate, making it ideal as a view port, inline flow indicator, or light port.

• Material options: While the standard body is stainless steel, custom builds are available in Duplex 2205, Hastelloy®, Monel® or Inconel® to suit aggressive media or corrosion concerns.

• Polished finish: Comes with a 10 Ra µ‑in (0.25 µm) finish for easy cleaning. Electropolishing can be specified on request.

• Full compliance: Each sight glass is supplied with traceable certificates and manufactured to ASTM/ASME and DIN/EN standards.
