Tube in Shell Condenser
A shell-and-tube heat exchanger built for solvent recovery duty. Coolant runs the shell side, solvent vapor runs the tubes, and the large tube-side surface area pulls the vapor back to liquid faster than a jacketed vessel alone can. On a passive system, the condenser is what sets your recovery time, so this is usually the cheapest place to buy back hours per run.
Available in 4″ and 6″ shell diameters, 48″ and 60″ lengths. Tri-clamp connections throughout.
BUILT, NOT RESOLD
N.B. Oler designs and welds these in house in Bend, Oregon. Nothing here is a rebadged import. If you need a different length, a different port arrangement, or a jacket temperature rating outside the standard, we can build to it, because we are the ones cutting the tube sheet.

FITS
Standard on the 20 LB and 40 LB Double Barrel systems, and a common retrofit onto older passive skids that are recovering too slowly. Pairs with the Solvent Tank Condenser when you want the tank held cold as well.
SERVICE
No wear parts inside the exchanger. Replace the tri-clamp gaskets on the same 3 to 6 month schedule as the rest of the system, Viton recommended. Flush the tube side with the same solvent you run; do not use a caustic that will attack the braze.
