Service Schedule and Reorder List

Reorder intervals and quantities for the 10, 20 and 40 LB hydrocarbon systems. Gaskets, relief valves, clamps, sieve beads and filters.

Every N.B. Oler hydrocarbon system ships with an Operators Manual carrying the torque specs, the cleaning procedures and the complete parts list for your exact build. This page is the short version, published so owners can reorder without digging the manual out.

Quantities differ by system and by how yours was built. Where a figure says to take it from your build sheet, take it from your build sheet, or call the shop at 541-330-6409 with your serial number.

These are the rules that do not change, whichever system you run:

  • Replace gaskets on schedule regardless of appearance, and immediately on cracking, tearing, splitting or permanent deformation.
  • Torque 30 in-lbs on elastomeric gaskets, 50 in-lbs on rigid.
  • Pick Viton or Buna-N and stay with it. We recommend Viton because it seals better.
  • Keep a second set of sintered filters so one runs while the other is in the ultrasonic.

20 LB Closed Loop Extractor

Quantities are per 20 LB system. Torque specs, cleaning procedures and the complete parts list are in the Operators Manual that ships with the system. If you are still deciding whether to buy, you can skip this.

Interval Part Quantity
3 to 6 months 6 in gasket, Viton or Buna-N 22, plus spares
3 to 6 months 2 in gasket 6, plus 1 spare
3 to 6 months 1.5 in gasket 4, plus 1 spare
3 to 6 months Cryogenic PRV, 250 psi (17.2 bar), on the vessels 6, plus 1 spare
3 to 6 months Cryogenic PRV, 22 psi (1.5 bar), liquid CO2 injection line and jacket inlets 3, plus 1 spare
3 to 6 months Cryogenic PRV, 100 psi (6.9 bar), solvent jacket 1, plus 1 spare
3 to 6 months High flow Conrader SRV530, solvent tank top and recovery vessel top only 2, plus a spare
6 months 6 in high pressure tri clamp 10, plus 2 spares
6 months Brass tri clamp nuts, regardless of condition All
12 months Tri clamp bolts, regardless of condition All
12 months PTFE hose adapter ends One per length
12 months Quick connect body rebuilds As fitted
Weekly 4A molecular sieve beads, 4x8 mesh 10 lb per 6 in x 24 in column
Operator choice 6 in filter socks Two 24 in or one 48 in per column
Cleaned, not replaced Sintered tri clamp filters 50 and 20 micron on the material columns, two 5 micron plus one 1 micron on the CRC, 10 micron either side of the sieve

40 LB Passive Double Barrel

Only the 6 in gasket count is a fixed figure on this system. Quantities for the other consumables vary with how your double barrel is built, so take them from the parts table in the Operators Manual that ships with the machine, or call the shop with your serial number.

Interval Part Quantity
3 to 6 months 6 in gasket, Viton or Buna-N, or PTFE envelope if you run below -30 F (-34 C) 44, plus spares. Double the 22 on a 20 LB
3 to 6 months 2 in and 1.5 in gaskets Per your build sheet, plus spares
3 to 6 months Cryogenic PRVs, 250 psi (17.2 bar) on the vessels, 22 psi (1.5 bar) on the column jackets and liquid CO2 inlets, 100 psi (6.9 bar) on the solvent jackets Per your build sheet, plus a spare of each
3 to 6 months High flow Conrader SRV530, on the solvent tank tops and recovery vessel tops only 4, plus a spare
6 months 6 in high pressure tri clamps Per your build sheet, plus spares
6 months Brass tri clamp nuts, regardless of condition All
12 months Tri clamp bolts, regardless of condition All
12 months PTFE hose adapter ends One per length
12 months Quick connect body rebuilds As fitted
Weekly 4A molecular sieve beads, 4x8 mesh A 40 LB runs a larger sieve vessel than a 20 LB, so call the shop for the charge rather than scaling it
Operator choice 6 in filter socks Two 24 in or one 48 in per column
Cleaned, not replaced Sintered tri clamp filters 50 and 20 micron on the material columns, two 5 micron plus one 1 micron on each CRC, 10 micron either side of each sieve
  • Do not substitute a purchased component for one outside the specification in ECR-250902-R0. That is what keeps the certification valid.

40 LB Single Barrel Compact

Quantities on this configuration differ from the published 20 LB and Double Barrel figures, so take them from the parts table in the Operators Manual that ships with the machine, or call the shop with your serial number. The parts themselves are stocked.

Interval Part Quantity
3 to 6 months Gaskets, Viton or Buna-N, 6 in, 2 in and 1.5 in Per your build sheet, plus spares
3 to 6 months Cryogenic PRVs, 250 psi (17.2 bar) on the process vessels, 22 psi (1.5 bar) on the column jackets and liquid CO2 inlets, 100 psi (6.9 bar) on the solvent jacket Per your build sheet, plus a spare of each
3 to 6 months High flow Conrader SRV530, on the solvent tank top and the recovery vessel top only 2, plus a spare
6 months 6 in high pressure tri clamps and brass tri clamp nuts, regardless of condition Per your build sheet, plus spares
12 months Tri clamp bolts and PTFE hose adapter ends All bolts, one hose end per length
Weekly 4A molecular sieve beads, 4x8 mesh This system runs a 6 in x 48 in sieve, so call the shop for the charge rather than scaling the 20 LB figure
Operator choice 6 in filter socks Two 24 in or one 48 in per column
Cleaned, not replaced Sintered tri clamp filters 50 and 20 micron on the material columns, 10 micron either side of the sieve

10 LB Closed Loop Extractor

The 10 LB uses the same wear parts as the 20 LB in smaller quantities. Take the counts from the parts table in your Operators Manual rather than scaling the 20 LB figures.
